Hot News 2005 March 21 Akayev’s supporters called on the official authorities to close opposition media outlets
Pro-governmental public foundation “Elim uchun, elim menen” called on the official authorities to close all independent media outlets in Kyrgyzstan. “By liquidating those publications, which terrorize the public in an ideological way, we support and protect a person, we love - President Akayev,” the statement says. The public foundation had earlier proposed to prolong President’s term in office to 7 years.
