March 23 Militia officers made an attempt to seize all copies of Analitika newspaper
During a protest demonstration, demanding President Akayev’s resignation, in Bishkek, militia officers attempted to seize all copies of Analitika, an independent newspaper being distributed by its editorial staff among the protesters. The officers together with unknown individuals, wearing red armbands, tore up some copies of the newspaper. Besides, they tried to take the paper away from the protesters.
