Hot News 2005 June 06 First Russian Channel will be still rebroadcast over Kyrgyzstan
The First Channel’ press agency explained what had happened to the channel branch in Kyrgyzstan. It informed that there is no single word about the termination of broadcasting in Kyrgyzstan, saying: “The right to broadcast outside the Russian Federation belongs only to Pervyi kanal. Vsemirnaya set’ company. All the other ways to broadcast on behalf of the channel are illegal. And now it’s the matter of concluding amicable contracts with those channels, which factually rebroadcast the channel. First Channel is not going to consider reduction in the airtime or changes to some technical parameters, or coding pallet. Instead of doing that, they plan to extend the target audience,” the press agency informed. Recently the newspapers informed that the right to rebroadcast the channel will be granted to TRC NTS, which broadcast over Bishkek and neighboring areas through decimeter waves.
