Police have found a body of the General Director of Airek advertising agency

 

The body of a 32-year-old man who went missing three months ago has been found hidden underground near to Ortosai village. The General Director of Airek advertising agency Svyatoslav Ocgepkov disappeared from the city on May 2, 2005 after facing charges of evading tax. Police say they had already arrested the murder suspect.

In May the police officially announced they were launching search for the missing man. Police officers searched his flat and found out that his computer and some other of his belongings are missing from the flat, after Ochepkov was reported to police as missing by his relatives.

In May 2005, Sverdlovsk District Anti-Corruption Department officers filed charges against Satybayeva and Ochepkov, ex- and acting directors of Airek company respectively. The police faced many complications while investigating the case, as the next day after the fall of Akayev’s regime, Satybayeva fled the city. Ochepkov, who signed important documents for heavy amounts of money later.

That time the police found only his BMW left right on the street in the south of the city. Airek agency was a part of the media holding owned by Adil Toigonbayev, son-in-law of the ex-president. The media holding also included TV and Radio channel KOORT, Vecherniy Bishkek newspaper and Kyrgyzinfo information center.

The Procuracy officially accused KOORT and Airek company of evading tax, forging documents and using them, and embezzling heavy amounts of money. The General Procuracy launched a criminal action under article 213 of the Criminal Code “Evading tax and insurance contributions by state officials of the legal entities,” article 168 of the Criminal Code “Embezzling property of another,” and article 350 “Forging, making, selling and using documents, state awards, stamps and forms.”
