Hot News 2005 September 12 Osh Mayor supported initiative to denationalize the print body
“We are willing to start a process of denationalizing state-run newspaper Osh Shamy,” Zhumadyl Isakov, Osh mayor, said at a press conference. The mayor said also he is interested to “free the newspaper,” as it would allow them to save money of the municipal budget. “However this process is not for one moment, it will take some longer time, because [only] local Kenesh deputies may decide on closure of official print body,” he said.
