Hot News 2005 September 14 The working group to reform state media outlets decided to reincorporate state-run newspapers
Adahan Madumarov chaired a session of the working group at the Government House to reform state media outlets of Kyrgyzstan. After a long discussion, working group members decided to reincorporate state-run newspapers Kyrgyz Tuusu and Slovo Kyrgyzstana to joint stock companies and found a Parliamentary and Governmental print body on the basis of Erkin Too newspaper. They also proposed to deprive local administrations of their founders’ status in regional newspapers. The members decided to propose the President Bakiyev to reorganize the National TV Broadcasting Corporation, found a Supervising Committee, consisting of 15 people, approved by the Parliament. Acting vice Prime Minister instructed members of the working group to prepare a draft order within a week to reorganize the NTRK and a provision, stipulating that the NTRK shall work until the law “ON National TV and Radio Broadcasting in Kyrgyz Republic” is adopted.
