Hot News 2005 October 18 Alexander Kim, chairman of the board of directors, believes there can be no compromise
On 18 October Alexander Kim, chairman of the board of directors, spoke to KOORT’ staff. He said: “the General Producer was fired, after the board of directors express dissatisfaction over the channel’s position.” He told journalists it is impossible to reach compromise over the issue. “The new management will keep working for the channel. If the staff remain dissatisfied with the management 2-3 months later, they will be able to reconsider.” He also advised the staff to resign if they want to. The journalists, in turn, said they plan no good for the new management, so they decided to stay. “We announce a hunger strike, keeping standing for our rights till the end.” |
