Hot News 2005 October 25 Journalists are facing increasing pressure from protesters
Internews-Kyrgyzstan issued a statement, saying: “Protesters have increased their pressure against journalists.” The media organization said they had used evaluations of media reports, to intimidate journalists, causing them to stop reporting on the protests. “It is complicated situation, and it is, therefore, highly important to let journalists inform people and cover the processes objectively. We are willing to provide legal or any other help to journalists, who are facing pressure now,” the document says. |
