Ruzi Nav chief editor made a public statement

 

On August 25, 2004, Radjabi Mirzo, a chief editor of Ruzi Nav newspaper, appealed to officials of the Tajik Presidential Executive Apparatus, international organizations and embassies, as well as republican political parties and movements.

In his statement, Mirzo noted that during the past two weeks all publishing companies in the capital have refused to publish Ruzi Nav, Odamu Olam, Nadjot newspapers. According to them, higher authorities prohibited all publishing companies to publish the aforementioned newspapers. Sharki Ozod printing office, subordinated to the Presidential Executive Apparatus refused to publish independent newspapers as well. “We view actions of management of the Sharki Ozod printing house as the official position of the President and Government”- the chief editor said.
