Hot News 2004 August 26 Editorial office of Odam Olam newspaper was subject to search
On August 25, officers of the Military and General prosecutor’s offices came to the editorial office of Odam Olam newspaper. They showed the sanction and started searching the premises. All the office documents including audio and video tapes were seized. Besides, some books by Mirahmad Amirshoyev about recently arrested Gaffor Mirzoyev, ex-commander of the Presidential Guards. According to the officers, their actions were caused by the investigation into Mirzoyev’s case. The newspaper chief editor was summoned to the prosecutor’s office.
