Plaintiff dropped his charges against Nerui Suhan newspaper
On January 19, Fidarusi district court in Dushanbe ruled to partially satisfy the plaintiff’s claims, obliging freelance journalist Aminov to pay 50,000 somoni – compensation (20,000 US dollars) to the plaintiff Abdullayev for moral damages inflicted by an article published in Nerui Suhan weekly. The article authored by Aminov accused the plaintiff of taking bribes. Abdullayev, dean of the National State University, dropped his charges against Nerui Suhan newspaper. |
