Whose rats gnawed through Nerui Sukhan’s telephone wire?

A telephone line set up for Nerui Sukhan weekly’s editorial board is not working for two months. Newspaper’s management rents the office at the “Sharki ozod” publishing house building. On January 26 2005, State Revenues and Duties Ministry’s Department of Tax Police suspended the newspaper for alleged taxes evasion by Kaihon printing firm, which was owned by Nerui Sukhan that time. The editorial staff believes the suspension of activities and failure of telephone line are interconnected. According to Vahhoba Latif, a deputy editor of Nerui Sukhan, a telephone engineer said the broken telephone wire was due to rats, which gnawed through it. Latif commented, saying why the rats had chosen this particular wire among hundreds of others.
