Hot News 2005 May 6 May shareholders filed a lawsuit against Zindagi newspaper journalist
May Joint Stock company’s owners filed a lawsuit against Mirsaid Haitboy, a reporter for Zindagi newspaper, in Sino district court in Dushanbe on May 6. The plaintiffs are seeking 300 thousand somoni (approx. $100 thousand) in damages. The lawsuit is based on an article “Muallim charo komilhukun nest?” (Why is a teacher rightless?”) by the journalist, critical of his colleagues – journalists, who published articles on privatized JSC May and its shareholders. The latter were called “bandits.”
