Hot News 2005 June 7 A group of experts was created in connection with the arrest of journalist Djumaboi Tolibov
The National Association of Independent Mass Media (NANSMIT) initiated creating a group of experts to be sent to Aininsk district to study case documents and materials of the arrest of independent journalist Tolibov. It was the first arrest of the journalist in recent years. His arrest might have been primarily connected with his critical materials. The journalist said several times to the Minbari Khalk’ editorial staff that the “prosecutor has threatened him with imprisonment.” The group of experts consists of Abdufattoh Vohidov, NANSMIT’s monitoring expert, Kironsho Sharifzoda, a reporter with Sadoi Mardum newspaper, Samandar Iskandarov, a reporter with Minbari Khalk newspaper, Farruh’sho Djunaidov, legal expert, and Marat Mamadshoyev, an independent journalist.
