Hot News 2005 June 23 Tolibov’s criminal case was taken to court
On June 21, Abdugafor Kalandarov, counselor of justice, sent all Tolibov’s case documents, (member of the Confederation of Journalists’ Unions and head of Hukumat’s Legal Department (Administration) in Aininsk district) to Soghdy Regional Court for consideration “on the merits”, after Soghdy regional prosecutor had confirmed charges against Tolibov, according to Regional Procuracy’ PR center. Djumaboi Tolibov was arrested on 24 April 2005 by Firdousi District Interior Department officers for hooliganism and taken to the department, where he was being held under custody up to this moment. He is facing charges under article 237 (hooliganism), 316 (abuse of power) and 147 (violation of “sanctity of property” provision) of the Criminal Code of the RT.
