Journalist Mavlon Radjabov was killed

 

NANSMIT monitoring network’s reporter in Tajikistan informed that journalist Mavlon Radjabov, 53 y.o., who was living and working in Moscow, was killed. His relatives said Mavlon worked for the railroad as a loader. The police haven’t yet reported details of the murder.

Mavlon Radjabov began working as a reporter for Tochikistoni soveti (Soviet Tajikistan), a newspaper of Communist Party’s Central Committee, Supreme Council and Council of Ministers. Then he was hired as a reporter for Komsomol Tojikiston, youth newspaper that belonged to the Central Committee of Communistic Youth Union named after Lenin. In 90s he worked as an editor for magazine of the Ministry of Finance. Then he worked as a reporter for Adabiyot va sanyat (Literature and art) newspaper up to 2004. He also tried to run his own business, but later was forced to leave Tajikistan as a gastarbeiter.

His body will be brought to homeland on 18 July.
