Hot News 2005 August 15 The Center to Protect Rights of Media Outlets and Journalist was created in Dushanbe
The Center to Protect Rights of Media Outlets and Journalists has been created in Dushanbe. Chairman of the Center, Huriniso Alizoda, believes that this Center to Protect Journalists’ Rights is dictated by the time, as long as journalists and representative of other organizations are often unaware of the laws that cause different conflicts. Last year arrival of Helsinki Human Rights Organization formed a basis for creation of the center. The Center was supported by the grant from the Helsinki Human Rights Organization. The center is located in Sharki Ozod printing company’s magazine complex. Alizoda also mentioned that the center provides consultations to media outlets and journalists and plans in future to represent their interests in court.
