Hot News 2005 August 26 Mukhtor Bokizoda appealed the court decision
On 26 August, Mukhtor Bokizoda, chairman of the Foundation for the Memory and Protection of Journalists, who also edited “Nerui Sukhan,” appealed the decision issued by the district court to Dushanbe Criminal Court. On 25 August, 2005, the Firdavsi District Court, presided by Safarali Kurbonov, sentenced him to two years of corrective labor and ordered to forfeit 20% of his salary to the state budget, under article 244 of the Criminal Code of the RT (Theft). |
