Hot News 2005 September 21 The Supreme Economic Court of Tajikistan upheld the appeal by Somoniyon TV Studio
On 19 September the Supreme Economic Court of the RT suspended the decision issued by the Dushanbe Economic Court, that obliged Somoniyon TV Studio to pay 5000 somoni (approx. $2.500) to cover the dept. The lawsuit filed by the Ministry of Communication of Tajikistan against Somoniyon TV Studio, resulted also in a decision to seize the equipment and other property from the TV Studio. Another petition filed by the License Commission of the TV and Radio Broadcasting Committee, resulted in the Department of Tax Police under the Ministry of State Tax and Revenues having ordered to seize the equipment, due to the license elapsed on 25 March, 2005.
