Hot News 2005 September 28 Chief editor of Nerui Sukhan newspaper summoned to the Prosecutor’s Office
On September 28, Mukhtor Bokizoda, chief editor of Nerui Sukhan newspaper, was summoned to the Firdavsi Prosecutor’s Office for questioning. Assistant Prosecutor Muteullo Radjabov said, he is charged with preparing a report about Nerui Sukhan newspaper. He asked several questions, including “who is chief editor of the newspaper?,” “a founder of the newspaper?,” “and report about every employee.” Bokizoda also said there were no clear reasons stated by the assistant for the report. “I don’t understand what else they want from us, because everything he asked refers to answers the prosecutor’s office had already received, in the course of investigation into criminal case against the paper.” Bokizoda, was sentenced to 2 years in prison on probation on 25 August, 2005 by Firdavsi district court.
