Hot News 2005 October 5 Threats against journalist Holmahmad Saidzoda On 29 September, 2005, Nadjot newspaper published an article “Shall the events of 30s repeat?” (Hodisahoi soli sijum tokror nameshavand?” On October 3 Nadjot editorial staff received a call from an unknown individual, who demanded that he be connected with the author of the article Holmahmad Saidzoda. He used offensive words and threats against Saidzoda and chide editor of the paper, Addukahhori Davlat. In his article Saidzoda criticized an increasing number of negative publications about Islam in the press that were written by unknown people. |
